Dubai to Cape Town South Africa, 30 days

If anyone has any information about the Dubai to Cape Town I would be interested. We sail in December. I need information on what to pack. I tend to take too much but want to have the proper clothing. Thirty days is a long time to cruise plus the extra days in Dubai and Cape Town. Anthing that you can add about the trip would be appreciated.
