Some Tut Treasures will be on the road until 2023

While the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) in Egypt may be opened late this year (or not, based on numerous prior delays), some of the King Tut artifacts won't be there until 2023. There is currently a tour of 150 artifacts making its way around the world. It will be in Boston this summer and in New York in 2023. These aren't the best pieces of the collection, which numbers more than 5,000 artifacts, so you won't be missing too much. Once the tour ends, all of the artifacts will be on public exhibition for the first time at the GEM.

  • Thanks, Ken. I've registered for the ticket lottery in Boston (even though I saw many at the "old" museum in Cairo).
