Visiting the Louvre and river cruise dining options. Paris Bridges tour
We are booked for a Tauck Bridges Paris to Normandy river cruise in July. We've previously been on one of the Bridges land journeys and a Bridges river cruise that we thoroughly enjoyed. I know things have changed a lot since our 2019 trip though. Would appreciate any insight from recent travelers...
Our itinerary initially stated that our Louvre tour was scheduled the 2nd or 3rd day in the morning and had the afternoon to explore Paris "on our own" and we were planning to stay at the Louvre to see some of the less popular exhibits that our group is interested in. The itinerary has now changed and the Louvre tour is the evening of the first day so we have decided to visit the Louvre on our post-tour extra day. I was hoping out TD would help us get tickets (they did in our prior tours) but were just told by Tauck they will not do that. We can book tickets online in advance but, as entrance is timed and we won't have specifics on disembarkation time etc until closer to the tour date, I was wondering how hard it was to find tickets if booking just a few days in advance.
When we booked our trip and paid our final balance Tauck still had more COVID precautions in place that have since been dropped. We have a higher risk individual in our group and had only gone forward with the trip thinking that there would be closer attention to protection from Tauck but it sounds from other posts that that is not the case. If Arthur's is closed, as someone stated it was during their recent river cruise, does anyone know if there is an option to ask the servers from the main dining room to get the food "to go" to eat in the room or deck?
Thank you!
