If Tauck will take you to the Bern or Zurich train station, you can get a direct train to Geneva.
Definitely take the train. It's approximately a three hour train ride but I think you have to change the train one time. I just purchased tickets on this website for the train in France. https://www.thetrainline.com/en/train-times/basel-sbb-to-geneva
Tauck will take you from Basel to either the Zurich train station or airport. We actually had them drop us at a hotel in Zurich, we stayed a few days then took our own taxi to the airport.
