My mother gave him too much money and he explained to me in German which I speak fluently that some vendors may not be honest.
YES. Most all the vendors want cash. CC will be accepted for more expensive items like the large spinners, Nativities, etc - but cash is the norm for food and products.

Absolutely, to shop at the markets. Many stands will take a credit card but for less expensive purchases it’s good to have cash.
