Wind Star Ship

  • My wife and I have done around 14 Windstar cruises. We were introduced to Windstar when we did the Istanbul to Athens Tauck tour back in 2009. Still very pleased with this line, and have them booked for next summer. Although we now stick to the motor yachts, as we like the rooms better.

We also cruise on Silversea, and have 3 bookings coming up! I bring one or two jackets, but no ties, no suits. For formal nights, and there are not that many of them, we just eat in the non-formal restaurants. We've cruised on Regent, Viking and Oceania as well, and I don't find Silversea any more (or less) stuffy than these other lines. Jackets are pretty much required on Silversea after 6pm, but I am not out of place wearing just a blazer and slacks. Most men wear this at dinner. Silversea (sheesh I sound like a fanboy) is a wonderful line, as is Windstar!

  • Smiling Sam - Happy wife, happy life. 😂

Yes, like most men, I learned that long ago.

  • There is somthing for everyone. I was on Windstar’s ‘Star Legend’ one time in Martinique when the ‘Wind Surf’ arrived. I could not help feeling that I was on the wrong ship. I like all of their ships, but the ‘Wind Surf’ is my favorite.
