Not receiving requested catalogs
I went on my first Tauck Tour (Grand European River Cruise) last summer and so enjoyed it that I booked two more back-to-back Tauck river cruises for this summer. A couple I befriended on the tour and with whom I have kept in close contact told me about their “Magic of Morocco” Tauck Tour, so last Fall (September/October) I requested the “Global Journeys and Safaris” which contains that tour. When the catalog didn't arrive in over a month, I repeated the process. When, once again, no catalog arrived, I CALLED and spoke with a Tauck agent who said she could see that I had ordered the catalogs and couldn't understand why they had not been sent. She said she would look into the matter and be sure I receive the catalog ASAP. Well, it's now been ~five months and I still haven't received it.
I have USPS “informed delivery” and I have received other mailings from Tauck as recently as this week, so I know it's not my mail carrier or post office. I'm guessing Tauck has a fulfillment center which processes and ships brochures for them. This can't be good for their business!
I'm wondering if anyone has had a similar experience regarding catalogs and would appreciate any suggestions or advice.

We have been travelling with Tauck for over ten yrs. Have received numerous catalogs and when we get them they usually go in the trash or we give them away. Everything you would need to know can be found on their website. You can ask specific questions on this web page about if people enjoyed the tour, rests., etc. Enjoy travelling with Tauck as my wife and I have since 2016 and continue to do so..
You can download and print any trip plan off of the page the trip is on - just scroll down and you'll see a section that says, "REQUEST A TOUR PLANNER" -- it has all the info you need. Sorry you're having a problem getting your requested info from Tauck.
I have the opposite problem. I receive too many. I've asked them not to send me river cuise, North America, and Bridges catalogs, but I still get them.
I understand how relaxing it is sitting on your couch and flipping the pages of a Tauck catalog and ear marking the pages, or even reading an actual book instead of an e-reader which, surprisingly, I haven’t graduated to that level despite the fact how savvy I am on the computer. I’m just full contradictions.
There is more detail about the tours on the tour web pages than in the catalogues. There are also additional departure dates on the web page that are not in the catalogue.
I've received any catalog I've requested. I have noticed some catalogs are download only. I am an avid catalog reader. Many times, I have discovered a location and tour I hadn't even considered. I would not have found that on-line. I can then go on-line to dig deeper into the tour.
Before Tauck changed its web page a few years ago, it was much easier to see a list of tours than it is now. Now the website asks you where you want to go, which is less helpful to me, you sometimes don’t know where you want to go, you need ideas. I prefer seeing a list of tours to get ideas. Catalogues are nice, but boy must they be expensive to produce, especially the latest ones Tauck are producing. I certainly don’t get the number of Tauck catalogues that I used to get.
The other tour company I use has an online only catalog which is really detailed. It would cost a fortune to send that one out.
I used to get catalogues and flyers almost daily from Overseas Adventure Travel, I only used them once, did not like them. I had to tell them repeatedly to stop sending them. I’ve never traveled with Viking but I get stuff quite frequently from them.
Tauck has changed its strategy and no longer just relies on word of mouth, I’m seeing ads for them all over the place.
And yet, most people that I mention Tauck to have never heard of them. I spend half the time explaining how to pronoun Tauck.
British - When I'm looking for a specific destination at Tauck, I find it easier to simply do a google search. For example, do a search on Tauck France in ggogle, and it will bring up a link to their trips there.
That's because you've been everywhere, most places several times! 😄
FYI - You can get a list of the New tours by selecting that option under Destinations.
I also like the older website much better. You have to scroll and scroll and scroll Tauck’s current website all the time. It’s not compact enough.
British and OurTravels34, I think there are openings in the next Progressive ad (about becoming our parents). 😁
If they'd just leave things like they were in the good old days.
I agree about the pleasure of browsing through a Tauck brochure at your leisure. I sometimes invite my neighbor over for a cup of tea and we thumb through some brochures. She took her first Tauck tour last year then promptly booked another.
You can circumvent the "where do you want to go" prompt by using the drop-down menu feature on the same page. I do agree, however, that the website is not as intuitive as it used to be.
