Sept 16th 8 day Ireland trip

This will be our first Tauck trip. It's also our first escorted tour. We've always done self-guided vacations before. We are coming in a day early to Shannon and will be staying at Dromoland. Anyone else going on this trip? How cool should we expect it to be? Does my husband need a sports jacket?

Once we are there, is there anyway to get into town?

    We did this trip last year...yes most of the men did have jackets for the formal dinners, you have to be ready for any type of weather in ireland. We had days mostly 60 s & 70s with some rain. (it was september) . As far as getting into town..I think your only option would be taxi.... Bunratty might be a nice adventure for you or just enjoy Dromoland. It is gorgeous !!!

    We did this tour as well.... most men had jackets at their dinner at dromoland. as for going into town. I also agree taxi might be your best bet. ask the concierge once you are there.
