Anyone have suggestions on best way to see the most in a day trip? We want to see the capitol, white house, monuments, etc.

Any thoughts, ideas, etc are appreciated!

    If you are trying to see everything in one day, the easiest way would be to either take a Grayline tour or the Old Town Trolley. You can hop on and off the trolley at various sights. Either way you can get an overview of DC. If you are thinking of trying to get inside the buildings, particularly the Capitol and White House, it will be difficult. Having been to DC numerous times, there is so much to see and do that one day is not enough. Which tour are you taking because Tauck will show you some of the buildings and monuments? I did the Civil War Event and On Hallowed Ground which both are in DC.
