Sweet Life in August

We're signed up for the Sweet Life Tour in August, 2011 and would like to stay two to three more days in Italy after the tour... does anyone have suggestions of what would be a nice way to end a great trip? We're thinking seaside, beach type relaxation... and we'll be in Sorrento on our last day. We are a family of four... our sons are 16 and 13... so shopping is out (much to my chagrin). Any other suggestions are much appreciated! Thanks!

Since you'll be in Sorrento consider a few days in Capri. No beaches, but an interesting, pretty island. European beaches differ from American, but the Amalfi coast is also near Sorrento, and has beaches.
