We arrive one day prior to the start of our trip any suggestions on what to do on Sunday in London so we can stay awake and adjust to London time?

A hop on/hop off bus gives you a really good overview of a city and that would be something you may want to consider on the day you arrive. In addition, we did a few walking tours with London Walks. Both were really enjoyable.
