Travel Vaccines and Medications

I would like to start a discussion about traveler's thoughts and experiences with travel vaccines and medications. Tauck, wisely, does not give specific medical advise about vaccines and other medicines unless there is an actual requirement for entry into a country. The CDC also only makes recommendations unless there is the same requirement, although The CDC's recommendations are worded more strongly.

Going to Hong Kong, Vietnam and Singapore this coming January on Tauck's Treasures of Southeast Asia, I checked out the CDC web site. Recommendations include vaccinations for Hepatitis A and Typhoid Fever, and medication for Malaria.

I'm specifically looking at the Havrix vaccine for Hepatitis A, Typhin VI vaccine for Typhoid Fever, and Malerone for Malaria.

Any thoughts, positive or negative about these or any other travel vaccinations and medications?
