The temps and rainfall for Santiago and Buenos Aires are posted but we are wondering what the weather is like in Patagonia itself? We are considering March or Oct/November.
Well, March will be early autumn and October/November late spring, but I guess it's all relative. The forecast for Punta Arenas for today, January 1st, is for 11C. I'd say you need to wrap up whenever you go, but I'd choose to go in late spring or summer. Can't imagine what it would be like in July! Brrrrrrrrr
Weather in Patagonia is all over. I just a few weeks ago during the late summer early fall, and one moment it was sunny, then raining, then snow (yes snow) then windy. It was hard for me to decide what to pack. Layers they kept saying and that could not be more true. It think you will get the same weather in Oct/Nov which is there Spring. I was warm though in Santiago, Chile and Buenos Aires
