Qantas business lounge at LAX

I will be flying from Southern Oregon to LAX for my connection on Qantas to Melbourne for the Grand Australian/New Zealand tour which is scheduled to leave LAX that evening at 11pm. Connection from my area make it necessary to fly the only direct flight arriving at LAX approximately 8am, lest we fly through San Francisco and risk not connecting or having our bags wind up in never never land for our trip. Lol! This gives us several hours before check in with Qantas. We would rather not hassle with leaving security and dragging our bags around to make use of a day room at a hotel at the airport. Has anyone spent long periods in the business lounge? Is it comfortable and accommodating?

Yep, any kind of connection can be tricky through LAX. (Which I always use SFO to enter & exit the States.) This is the web page for the Qantas International Business lounge at LAX:

It seems to have everything to make a long wait as pleasant as possible. I'm sure lots of returning Aussies will be making use of the lounge for long waits similar to yours! Hope you have a good flight.

Just came across this post. When are you traveling or have you been? This is the same flight I am taking on April 26, 2014 from LAX.
