Wondering what the best type of shoe or boot is best for the safari portion of our trip scheduled for Aug. 6, 2011?

    We travelled in September of 2010 and travelled the whole time in the bush in Keens, or keen-like shoes. While on safari, you are in the land rovers and really not moving about on the ground unless you count the stops for snacks. At that time, keens would still be very good. The vehicles also have blankets for the early morning game drives and there is generally lots of room to spread out.

    We really enjoyed this trip. Hope that you do also.

    We took old running shoes and just donated them when we left. Your shoes will get very dirty from the dust. For evening we brought leather shoes.
