solo traveler

I am traveling alone, on a cruise, through Italy... any suggestions/concerns in traveling alone? I have considered a land tour as well. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have taken several tours as a single traveler. Some I meet people to hang out with some I do not. It is all luck. Just this past September I did the Classic Italy tour and it was one of the very best I did solo. There were 3 other solos and we hung out much of our free time. I say go have fun and mingle at the welcome dinner. A lot of people on the tours reach out to the solo's and invite you to join them for meals and to do stuff in the off time.

I had a wonderful time as a solo traveler on the China/HongKong/Yangtze river trip. There were two other female solo travelers on the trip, and that was really nice. But everyone else was wonderful too. Go and enjoy!
