June 15th Tour

So excited for our upcoming June 15th tour! We'll be travelling from Virginia Beach and arriving a day early -- travelling with our 19 year old daughter! Any suggestions for things to do in Lima prior to the tour starting from those of you that have already taken this tour? Any packing suggestions besides those listed on the Tauck website? Who else is going?
