PULLMAN HOTEL

We were on the May 4 trip.
Guests on the 2014 Rendezvous on the Seine should know that the Pullman is very average. I hope they do change hotels for next year. It is two blocks from the Eiffel Tower and while that's wonderful, there is nothing else close by.
I took a walk around the hotel for blocks and it is a very residential and commercial neighborhood. There are no sights and anything you may want to do or see is across the river. It isn't a far walk, but you'll have to plan your time.
The hotel itself is minimalist. The check-in desk is a large table in the middle of the lobby and the attendants stand there. The breakfast room is in the basement and could be a meeting room in any corporate hotel. There is no view at all.
The opening night's party on the 10th floor is great and the view is amazing. That is a winner for sure.
It is okay for two nights, but do not expect a charming French inn.
On a free night, go to Brasserie Suffren. It is 10 minutes from the hotel, just down Suffren. Pierre, our guide recommended it as wonderful and he was right.
The key to this trip is the time on the riverboat. It is a lovely way to travel.
