Water shoes

Tauck in there brochure recommended water shoes for the raft ride. Are these really necessary ?

    No, you do not need water shoes. I went on this trip several years ago and the raft ride was so peaceful and beautiful. Very smooth. Wore my sneakers which I wore everyday of the trip. I went in August. Maybe if you are going at a different time of year you would need them but I really doubt it. This is a wonderful trip. Enjoy!!

    For rafting, you should wear shoes that will stay on your feet (no flip flops) and that you don't mind if they get very wet. Old sneakers without socks would be perfect.
