Dress Code

in A Week In... Capri, the Amalfi Coast & Rome
Going on this tour in June 2015. Would appreciate any feedback from anyone who has recently been on the tour as to what is appropriate for evening dress. Can men get away with a dress shirt and slacks or is a jacket needed? Any advice for my wife and I would be appreciated.

    Hi FriarBob,

    In Europe, especially in finer restaurants, it is generally customary to dress somewhat formally. A jacket for men is acceptable dining attire, but jackets are not required either. A dress shirt and nice slacks will be entirely acceptable. You may want to dress up a bit for the welcome reception and farewell dinner, but by all means be comfortable.
