Travel date

in Empire of the Incas: Peru & Bolivia
I have heard that either May or June are good months to travel to Peru & Bolivia with respect to weather but that crowds are greater in June, July & August. Does anyone have a feel for just how much more crowded it might be early May versus late June. Are crowds really that much of an issue at all particularly with respect to Machu Picchu?

    Just returned from Empire of the Incas and I can say that crowds were not bad
