Sicily: Culture through the Ages
My husband and I participated in Tauck's Sicily tour in October...and we cannot stop raving about the entire trip to everyone we see. Please consider devoting ten days to Sicily! We extended our tour with an extra day at the beginning and end, and we still feel that we barely scratched the surface of this magical place. Perhaps one reason for our enthusiasm is that our guide was AMAZING. Young and full of energy, Melisa was nevertheless entirely professional and incredibly capable at herding her "mature" travelers around some challenging sites. Born in Sicily but raised partly in Montreal, Melisa shared her thorough knowledge of her homeland, championing its beauties and charms but not afraid to mention its quirks as well. Thank you, Melisa and Tauck, for a trip we will never forget. Every day, almost every single moment, is indelibly imprinted in my mind. I'm still dreaming of our enchanting adventure...and I'm sure I always will. GO TO SICILY.
