My mother and I will be attending this trip, and are very excited. We will be arriving in Cape Town a day earlier and staying at the Hilton. Can anyone suggest something for us to do or see thats not on our tour? Or a favorite restarant?

    We just returned from SA last month - wonderful trip. The Cape Grace is right on the V&A waterfront so there is a large area to walk around. We also arrived few days early & spent one day taking the "Red Bus" - a hop on-hop off tour bus route that takes you to areas Tauck does not go or spend much time. We felt perfectly safe and great way to see and get a feel for Cape Town area. We went down by coastline to Haut Bay and got off and also went into town for a local market and also went to some museums. You can stay on or get off on the various stops. We also took a private tour out to wine country and spent time in town of Stellenbosch - which was very enjoyable and Tauck no longer goes there.
