luggage for overnight on train - Grand Canadian Rockies

Would someone who's taken this tour please advise me on the luggage situation while overnight on VIA Rail's The Canadian? If the cabin is as tiny as it appears, is there even room to stow and open regular luggage for two people? Would you advise that my husband and I pack necessities in a carry-on ? If so, will our regular luggage then be stored elsewhere while we're on the train?

    We did the Grand Canadian Rockies in June 2013. Just pack a carry-on with whatever you would need overnight (medications, change of clothes, etc.). All of your other luggage will be stored and then transferred to the motorcoach from the station in Jasper to the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge.
