We did this fabulous tour over a decade ago and it still remains our favorite. This was a small group tour with the best tour director we have ever had—Patricia H.
It was a journey rich in history and culture. The Moorish architecture is dramatic, the hotels centrally located and grand, and the food and wine plentiful.

Activity 3 Pace 3. That’s what it says for the tour
All the hotels are listed on the tour page. You can go to the website for each hotel and see what they offer. Be sure you are looking at the tour page for 2026. As noted in another thread, maybe some details for the accommodation are incorrect, though less likely for 2026. I’ve just booked two tours for 2027.
I don’t know how many tours you have taken, but if it’s less than 20, it’s too late for a Gift of Time
I am not sure why the pace/activity levels have increased. Although we had some long days filled with touring, we had no issues with keeping up. We were in our 70s and 90s at the time.
Kfmknfzk thanks so much for the info. Looking for personal thoughts on tours and this is much appreciated. The activity has not changed and is a level 2.

How very confusing. Actively 2 Pace 3. We just booked this tour for 2027. The agent told us the activity and pace and what each meant and asked us if we could handle it. They seem to be asking for every tour these days, I think due to the increased number of people who book tours that are not up to the pace.
kcfromkc - No worries. My comments were based on the Spain and Portugal tour, not the Portugal only tour. Regardless, I think you will still have a wonderful time.
