Egypt questions, visa, camel,Museum
Going on this tour in April. They mention a Visa obtained after you land in Cairo that is paid for by Tauck....do you purchase and Tauck reimburses or will Tauck get the Visa and give to us on arrival?
I saw a camel release included in our documents, do they still do camel rides or photo ops?
The Old Cataract is undergoing renovations during out trip so we leave Abu Simbel and head straight to Cairo. Hoping the extra day will allow a longer touring of the GEM.

When we took this tour, the Tauck rep met us with the visas, affixed them to the passports and escorted us through immigration.
Thanks! That's what I thought might happen but it is good to know for certain!
Billybowlegs - I'm doing Egypt later this year and when I look at the itinerary, the day you go GEM ends early(ish) and the rest of the day is free so it sounds like you might be able to stay at GEM longer on your own. This is at the beginning of the tour before you even go to Luxor.
