United Kingdom ETA

We'll be going on this trip in September. Do we need the United Kingdom Eta before we go?

Yes, Scotland is considered part of the UK.

  • If you arrive at a UK airport and aren't just catching a flight to another country you must have it.

  • How and when do you get it?

If you google UK ETA you'll find out all about it. It's good for two years.

  • what dates in September? We leave from edinburgh on the 1st. Are you on our trip?

  • Just an FYI for anyone going on an Antarctic trip that also included South Georgia Island. South Georgia is part of the UK and you need an ETA for it. But the standard UK ETA is not sufficient - there's a separate South Georgia ETA and it's a lot more expensive than the standard UK ETA. More than likely, the cruise line will obtain the South Georgia ETA for you.
You do not need an ETA for the Falkland Islands.
