Transfer to ship from hotel what time ?
I am staying at the Tauck hotel Amigo in Brussels. I was wondering what time they pick us up from the hotel. I assume I have to check out at 11:00. and was considering going to Ghent in the morning.

Because the ship’s crew is preparing for your tour group, embarkation is usually around 1600. You will leave the hotel around 1430. I suggest you let one of the tour directors know your plans. In case you run late getting back to the hotel, you should be prepared to find your own way to the ship.

For our Hidden Waterways cruise last summer, here are the times we were given for Day 1:
9-10:30am - hospitality desk - meet the TDs and get luggage tags if not already provided
10 am - luggage pull from the room
12 pm check out time
3 pm transfer to the ship
We spent the morning touring the Brussels city museum and the associated GardeRobe MannekenPis which displays many of the costumes donated for the Manneken Pis (little boy peeing) statue. Both are in easy walking distance from the hotel and quite interesting. My husband didn't initially think much about the statue but the main museum has an interesting history about it. If you like history, the museum is worth visiting.
Jeter55 - My stay in Brussels was brief (Yuletide Spirit cruise) but if you like mussels, have them there. Delicious!

The bus leaves at 3. You can ssk the tour director the docking address and meet them at the ship. You would not be able to access your room until 4.
