St Michael's Mount

How difficult is the walk/hike up to the castle at St Michael's Mount? Has anyone been to both Machu Picchu and St Michaels' Mount - if so, how do the two compare? How about the Acropolis and St Michael's Mount? I have read that St Michael's Mount is mostly a ramp sort of walk with steps at the end (kind of like the Acropolis) and also that the steps are uneven and difficult with no handrails (kind of like Machu Picchu)...can you use waling sticks at St Michaels' Mount? Do you need them?

Yeah - I watched that and another I thought was better called Gimble Walk TV…I was still hoping for some perspective from someone who had done this tour. :)

We have done all of them. They are all very similar in difficulty. St Michael might be a tad harder.

Loves2travel2-harder than Machu Picchu? Why do you feel that way? Are the steps taller than Machu Picchu? When I watched the videos it looked like there were far fewer steps and mostly at the end. Did people use walking sticks?
