Normandy, britany, PAris, the Loire in April--tipping
I know we tip our director and driver a daily "rate", as suggested by Tauck. Do they change, and do we tip every day or at the end of the trip? And cash, I assume. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

This is what my travel doc states:
We ask that you extend gratuities on an individual basis rather than as a group, and we offer the following guidelines to assist you in determining an appropriate amount: USD $15 per traveler, per day for the Tauck Director, or the equivalent amount in local currency. USD $10 per traveler, per day for the driver, or the equivalent amount in local currency
Gratuities are extended at the end of the tour, typically at the farewell dinner. I usually write a personal note within a ‘thank you’ card and tuck the money inside. Your tour director will advise when to tip the bus driver(s) since not all of them attend the farewell celebrations.
If tipping in local currency, €s in this case, be sure to adjust for exchange rates.
For all our land tours the TD was tipped at the farewell dinner. For the coach driver, the TD will warn you the last time you'll see them which can vary from tour to tour. There is also cases where you might have multiple drivers for different parts of the tour, a one day relief driver as there are laws about how many days in a row they can work, etc. The TD will help you figure that out.
