Wait list
Does anyone have any recent experience with the wait list? I got an email this morning asking for confirmation if I’m still interested. Curious if that’s standard practice or if I can be cautiously optimistic! The final payment due date is Aug 3rd so if there will be movement I’m assuming it is soon.
I’ve always been hesitant about wait lists because of trying to find flights etc- AI suggested booking fully refundable flights “just in case” the trip becomes available. I found some great rates - now just hoping to get cleared from the wait list! Sharing in case it helps anyone else….

To clarify, there are different wait lists. Since I always book extremely early, I am almost always placed on a wait/interest list until pricing is finalized. By booking early my dates, pre-and-post tour hotel stays and room preferences are held for me.
Travelers can also be placed on a wait list pending cancellations or additional dates are added. If this is your case, it is possible a slot has opened and Tauck wants to know if you are still interested. You should contact them immediately to finalize your booking.
And if you travel solo, since so few solo rooms are allotted, you need to be on a wish/interest list way before the dates are published for trips/dates you desire.
