New Spotlight Africa - South Africa / Zimbabwe

Welcome some good suggestions on proper/ compact power adapters for Apple Iphones / Ipads traveling to South Africa / Zimbabwe? Also- suggestions on packing?- 2 small checked bags and two good sized back packs to check on board planes? Thanks in advance; getting excited for our long awaited Africa trip!

    I just returned from this trip about 2 weeks ago. At the hotel in Zimbabwe there were 2 USB ports on the wall behind the lamp next to the bed. I only needed an adapter to plug in my flat iron and the one I brought, type G, did not fit into the side outlet on the desk. I called housekeeping who brought their adapter and my type G fit into that, so I was good for the remainder of my stay.

    I believe there was even a USB port on the side of the desk, too, as I used that to charge my smart watch.

    I had these as I believe most of the USB ports were the A type vs the new smaller C charging cords.

    As far as luggage goes, I'm an admitted horrible packer! I had a large, checked bag, a carry on that I put in the overhead for flights, then the green bag Tauck sent before the trip I used to keep at my feet on the lights that held my iPad and anything with a lithium-ion battery.
