    For those who’ve been on this tour - when you go to the Valley of the Kings, do you only go in King Tut’s tomb or do you get to go in three others and do you get a photo pass so you can take pictures (altho not in King Tut’s)? Thx.

    When I went to the Valley of the Kings, we were able to go into three of the tombs for the price of admission. There was also a "camera fee" to be paid at the entrance,

    In one there were "guards" who were supposed to check if you were taking pictures. Ha-ha. They offered to open closed sections of the tomb so we could take more pictures - for a fee, of course. They didn't ask for a fee, but it was clear that if you wanted to access or to take pictures you needed to present a decent tip. In Egypt that's not a lot of money.

    JaneP - when we took this tour our Valley of the Kings visit was to 4 tombs, including King Tut. Hopefully, a more recent tour participant will respond, especially about current photo rules in King Tut's tomb. My impression was that photos with phones were going to be permitted.

    when we went in 2022, we could enter Tut’s and 3 additional nearby tombs- KV-6, KV-11, KV-16 (pre-selected by ?). We could use cameras in the VOK tombs, as well as in Queen Nefertari’s tomb in the VOQ. Based on the exposure of a few of my photos, I believe we could also use flash, but it was really not needed, in fact you got good color and better effects from excellent tomb lighting. I don’t know if a “ photo” ticket was needed, but if so, that is what Tauck got. If I was home instead of Switzerland I could check (I save everything) 😁

    Alan - I wonder if the tomb choice was due to fewer security on hand after hours so they couldn’t monitor all the open tombs or something like that. A tiny bit disappointing because I had researched all the tombs and don’t really want to see only Ramesses tombs…🤷‍♀️ still getting to see three others will be rewarding.
