Travelling solo!

Hi everyone!

I'm thinking about booking the classic Kenya/Tanzania tour in the Fall of 2012. I will most likely be travelling solo and was looking to see if anyone else has done this type of trip before travelling solo. Any suggestions/feedback will be appreciated. This will be my first time to Africa and this trip looks amazing. If anyone else is going in the Fall of 2012, please let me know. Thanks so much!

    I've travelled with Tauck to Machu Picchu and the Galapagos as a single. Wonderful experience. No problems whatsoever however it does cost more than the single rate.

    I did the South Africa: An Elegant Adventure trip by myself and had no problems. Yes, you pay a single supplement, which is a little painful (though I can understand why Tauck does it -- you really can't reserve "half" of a hotel room!), but it's a great experience. Everyone on the trip was very friendly, and usually people invite you to join them for meals and so forth.
