Before and after trip ideas

We are planning to take this trip in June and are trying to decide whether to extend the trip at the beginning or the end. Does anyone have any experience or advice they would like to share about which location might offer better opportunities for additional sights or activities in the general area? We might consider renting a car for a day or two.

    We could highly recommend an early arrival in Jackson Hole for a day or 2 and you would want to rent a car in advance at the Airport. The town of Jackson Hole is very unique and interesting. We can recommend the Rusty Parrot Lodge which is downtown off the Square. On two occasions we have scheduled an evening Wildlife excursions with Grand Teton Science Schools that were most successful in seeing wildlife. Their people keep up with wildlife movement pretty well and we saw many on the Evening tour. The Teton Village is an easy drive from Jackson Hole and the Tram ride and view from Rendezvous Mountain awesome. It is cold on top of the Mountain in June. Hope this is of some help in your evaluations
