Majestic California - 2017 - Esp., Getting to the Big Trees

We're planning on doing the June 11 version of Majestic California with our 9 year old grandson.
Wanted to see the Giant Sequoias in Yosemite, but there doesn't seem to be any mention of that.
(a) Is it there and I simply missed it?
(b) Is either Tauck or Tenaya Lodge planning an optional activity for this? (And how do I sign up?)
(c) If not, can I arrange a rental car (or a taxi) at Tenaya and do this on my own?

    Fred, we are taking this trip July 17th (2016) with our 9 year old grandson. Do you have any general suggestions about dressing for dinners (shorts ok for the 9 year old?) Does my husband really need a sport jacket? Any suggestions about what to do coming in a day early? Thank you and anyone else who can help. This will be our first Tauck tour.
