If boarding time is 4:00 PM is there any problem with dropping off my luggage a few hours early?

    Not a problem. Check in with the reception desk on board. They'll store your luggage, let you know when your stateroom will be ready, and they usually have refreshments in the main lounge - drinks, light snacks. Then you can head out for some independent touring and to find an ATM if you need one.
