  I'm assuming you are on the Dec. 3 Joy cruise on the Danube? This will be our 2nd Tauck river cruise out of 4 previous river cruises. We are from Houston area and looking forward to much cooler weather and our 1st Christmas market cruise. We will have 2 nights in Nuremburg prior to cruise---now figuring out what we might do during that time.

  A couple of things to know for those who have taken prior cruises in the summer is the shortness of the day and how chilly it can be on board the ship. Our first cruise was a July Rhone tour and our second an Oct Rhine/Moselle. Was a little hard to get used to eating breakfast and dinner while still dark outside. Also it can be very chilly on board the ship especially when seated near the windows of the lounge or dining room. On the plus side, the dress code was mostly focused on casual and warm. Almost no sport coats for the men (lots of pull over sweaters) or dresses for women (slacks, lg sleeve top and a wrap or sweater for the evening).

  Coming from Beaumont, TX. Our 4th river cruise, but 1st with Tauck. Also in Nuremburg 1 night before cruise. I've been advised to bring bubble wrap for market purchases. Really looking forward to this trip!

  We are from Florida, Bob and Julie. This is our 3rd Tauck River Cruise, second Christmas Cruise. Best advice is to bring extra bag to bring back your purchases. Bubble wrap was never an issue for us, but doesn't hurt to bring some.
  Tauck is wonderful so expect some surprises
