In spite of what you may be told, I had a wonderful experience on my own at Rudas. Someone else in the group went the same day to the highly recommended Szechenyi and had a horrible experience. My understanding is the locals go to Rudas. However, it is only coed on weekends or at least when I went and Tuesdays was women only. The true experience in my humble opinion.
