wondering if anyone did Spirit of the Dessert in late September and how hot it was?

We are scheduled for Spirit of the Dessert tour in late September 2019 and would like to hear experiences and get recommendations - was
it really hot?

    I live in NM and have camped several times in the areas this tour covers. Of course these days its impossible to predict the weather but likely to be in the 70s and 80s during the day depending on how late in the month you chose. By our standards that's fairly pleasant. As the joke goes, "it's a dry heat". Nights and early morning can be surprisingly cool. It's certainly a much better time than going in Jul/Aug. And we do actually get some rain depending on whether the monsoons have lasted that long.
