Yellow fever and malaria
My wife and I and another couple are booked on the Jan. 23rd westbound tour. Is there any need to get vaccinated for yellow fever and take anti-malarial medication?

For the most current information, please consult the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) at http://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel/destinations/list.htm and the World Health Organization (WHO) at http://www.who.int/ith/en/. It may also be advisable to visit the web sites for the embassies of the countries you will be visiting. Besides providing details on vaccination requirements, these sites can also provide information on vaccinations that may be recommended (but aren’t required) and other potential health issues for which no vaccines are available.
As of this posting Yellow Fever vaccines are only required to enter Panama if you are traveling from a country with risk. Regarding anti-malaria medication, it is recommended that you consult your doctor.
Here are the links to Panama and Costa Rica:

Any decisions relating to your health, of course, should not be based solely on information provided by a web site. It is critically important that you consult with your personal physician prior to your journey to obtain any required vaccinations and to review any optional recommendations offered by the CDC or other sources.
Hope this helps,
Emily

My wife and I are on the same tour. We look forward to meeting you.
We are traveling from near Los Angeles California.
We had a wonderful trip to Africa with Tauck this year and also traveled with them to China.
Many of our fellow travelers have recommended this trip so we are very excited.
Last year we visited Costa Rica on our own and can't wait to go back.
Truly one of the happiest countries in the world.
We were wondering about the weather?
Any clues?
