Question about clothes

We are going on the Crown Jewel tour. Would hiking pants that zip off to become shorts be useful on this trip? Or are they not nice enough to wear for touring?

    They are fine. Touring is quite casual.

    You don't say when your trip is but even in Sep we went it was actually warm when we got to the Italian end of the country so shorter pants would be welcome. It's a fairly casual tour compared to some Tauck European tours clothing wise.
