Budapest and Prague museums on our own.

I'm going on the western bound blue Danube cruise in April. I am trying to block out my free time, mostly in Budapest and Prague where we have an extra day. I like museums and don't see them in the guided tour itineraries i.e. fine art museum in budapest. So which museums are not on their guided tours, and which are must sees that should I schedule on my own? Fine arts, history, prehistory all of interest.

    We did this tour in October 2016 and it was fabulous. The guided tours include the castles in both cities, as well as Lobkowicz Palace and the Strahov monastery library in Prague. There were several choices for walking city tours. We went inside the opera house in Budapest, but not the Parliament building. Other museums are not included in either city, so plan to do those during your free time.
