Tuscany and Cinque Terre
Going on the June 9, 2018 tour but getting to Florence early, so we have a free day before the tour begins. We have been in Florence before so we've done the major museums, but does anyone have recommendations for return visitors?

Start with a query like, "10 or 20 Best things to see . . . ." and if you haven't seen them all, you've got a start. Then try "Hidden gems of Florence", "Great places missed by most tourists," or similar queries. Look on Viator for other tours and experiences- take a cooking class, etc. Also, consider getting out of the city. Search for "Sites in the Florence countryside, etc." like this one: "10 small towns near Florence, Discover 10 little gems you should consider visiting when in Florence" How about a festival? Check online for festivals in and around Florence at the time you will be there.
Florence is fantastic, just a few searches should give you a great list of places you haven't seen or things you haven't done before. Or, go back to places you have been before to concentrate on special displays, etc. You can literally spend a day or more at the Uffizi! Have you climbed the dome?
Whatever you decide, make any reservations or buy any tickets you might need as soon as possible- Florence is busy at that time of year- we got our tickets to climb Brunelleschi's dome, tickets for Pisa, Segway tour, etc., 6 months or more before we went.
