Electrical Power Adapters
Hi!
Does anyone know what kind of adapters we'll need for travel to South Africa & Zimbabwe?
We're from Canada, so we're going from 120v/60Hz...
Thanks so much!

The blurb below is from Tauck's "know before you go" section for this trip.
"The electrical current is generally 220/230v, 15 amps, and is supplied through either 15-amp three-prong or 5-amp two-prong plugs, in both cases with round pins. If you bring anything electrical, you may need to bring an adapter – or you could buy one in South Africa. Generally, the 110v video chargers work safely on the 220v supply."
Also, many websites show additional information. Here is one:

This is a fantastic trip. Enjoy!
I am still confused. My research suggests type D, M, and N adapters. But where did you purchase these? And Victoria Falls uses UK style plugs. Thank you
You can purchase adapters on Amazon. We brought D and M
Thank you, and you did not need N? What about Zimbabwe (Victoria Falls(
Just remember if you are using an Apple charger, you only need the proper plug because their chargers work with both currents. If you are using any other sort of appliance, you will need the converter along with proper plugs for the country you are visiting.
also if you plan on traveling a lot, I suggest a kit which has an adapter with all sorts of plugs, then you can just pull out the ones you need for each country you will visit. I purchased one from a company called Ceptics.
