Hi Yvonne, I am also going on the Scandinavia 11 July tour. I am also joining from Australia - Victoria. I am leaving Melbourne on the 8th. If you have any great packing tips- let me know!
Hi Margaret! Oh lovely to see another Aussie travelling. Am getting so excited. Weather looks to be cool by Aussie summer standards so am thinking light layers so if it gets cool you can add more. Also a good chance of it being wet so a lightweight raincoat a must I think. I have an extra day in Copenhagen before the trip after a few weeks in the UK.
Hello travelers from Australia!! We'll be joining you from Brooklyn, New York! We are arriving in Copenhagen on the 12 also!! Look forward to meeting you all!
Hello Alicali, countdown is certainly on now! So excited for the trip of a lifetime and meeting wonderful people from all parts of the world. See you in Copenhagen ????
Mowie...I'll be in Copenhagen (very late July; let me know if we overlap) & Bergen (kfnknfzk, haven't been there in years & will be reading your notes, as I know it's one of your favs). There are plenty of museums (the Glyptotek is a stunning building) and The David Collection, though lesser-known, is quite impressive (and free). You'll no doubt see Torvehallerne, the famous food hall. My hotel looks to be prime viewing for the Changing of the Guard at noon. Alas the Børsen (Stock Exchange) with its famous twisted dragons' tails was damaged by fire in April. Of course there's Tivoli Gardens, if you've never been. Enjoy! Scandinavia let's hope will escape any heat waves.
MarketArt - I'm not sure if you are asking me about København or Bergen, or both.
Bergen - I am just as much of a tourist there as anyone else, although virtually all Scandinavians can understand each others' languages. The wharf area and shops are delightful. Taking the funicular offers exceptional views. Our favorite restaurant, away from the tourist areas and a favorite of locals, sadly did not survive the pandemic shutdown. We ate there for years. I believe it is now a middle eastern restaurant which I would certainly try. Of course, Bergen is known for being the gateway to the fjords. If you don't have time for a fjord cruise, consider a cruise of the harbor.
København - Since I never lived there--my cottage is on the island of Fyn (pronounced Foon), I am probably considered a tourist there as well--just kidding! I can put together a short list of sites, but if you really want to experience Denmark, one must leave the big city and explore the charms of the other islands. Let me know of your time constraints. I can send you a private message if you want.
thx, kfnknfzk. I remember how much you have enjoyed Bergen, so decided it was time to revisit...though it's a bit mixed up in my mind with Stavanger, since it was last century lol, when I spent 3 weeks in Scandinavia. This is just a short visit, so no worries. I've been to Copenhagen several times since.

I will be in Copenhagen next month. Do you have a "must see" list that you can recommend? Thanks, in advance, Marilyn
Rent a bike in Copenhagen. Best biking city in the world!
Mowie - It all depends on your interests. For starters, the Danish Resistance Museum is excellent.

The Lysefjord by Stavanger is breathtakingly beautiful. The Pulpit Rock formation is so impressive--and frightening! Enjoy your trip, MarketArt.
