Arriving early in Amersterdam

We are arriving early for the July 30 Amsterdam/Milan Rhine cruise. Your app for this trip says be sure to read the travel arrangements to get from the hotel (DeL'Europe Amsterdam) to the boat. There is no instruction as to how we get to the boat in either our reservation packet or on the Tauck app. Can anyone enlighten me?

    If you booked your early arrival hotel with Tauck, they will meet you at the airport or train station and transport you to the hotel. They will also transport you from the Tauck hotel to the ship. If you booked your hotel on your own, I suggest you call Tauck and get the address where the ship will be moored, the time you need to be there and any other details needed.

    Have you received your green booklet yet? If not, it will all be in there. You usually receive it about a month before. If you don’t get it by three weeks before, I would call Tauck. It Ed’s remarks are true, if you are not prestaying at the Tauck hotel you will have to make your way there on your own or get to the hotel that Tauck stays at to be transported with the others. Either way, you will have to contact Tauck so they know your plans.

    The docks are located just behind the main train station. It will either be just east or just west of the building. The green book from Tauck will also have the local telephone of the ship. We called that number from our Amsterdam hotel and were given directions. Our hotel concierge quiered a database on his computer and was also able to provide an exact address for the dock. We were staying at a non Tauck hotel close to the train station. You can walk through the station to a sidewalk on the river's edge. It was then a two block walk to the boat either to the right (east) or left (west).
