July 31 Trip-weather

in Iceland
Am going through outer wear for trip in two weeks. I read that heat wave in Europe has resulted in cooler temps for Iceland. Weather Channel says highs around 57F and some rain. Online photos showed people were fairly bundled up. Would like to limit to raincoat, fleece and light parka. Anyone on forum who just returned home and can advise?

    We are on our last day here and it has been very very cold and windy and two days of rain. Apparently the coldest summer for100 years. I wore more layers than I do in a N E USA winter. Despite this we enjoyed the tour and the crucial days were the sunniest. Everything is even more expensive than we realized.
