Tipping in Vietnam – How much for a private tour guide?
I see most people planning to visit Vietnam don’t how much they should tip their private tour guides.
As my experience with the private tour, how much to tip the tour guide is up to you. In my opinion tip about 5-10 USD/day for a private tour guide is reasonable but if you are a group of more than 4 people, I think you should tip higher.
Of course, it is still alright if you do not tip, but if you happy with the services, your tip is not only like the income with tour guide but also as your compliment for their hard-work.
With other services, I only tip when they’re over-expected, sometimes just a little change or none. But I saw some websites can provide detailed information about tipping so you guys can consider.
