Aside from the two receptions, do people dress for dinner on this itinerary, or do they usually just stay in their sightseeing/hiking clothes, especially in the national parks. I'm having a hard time knowing what to pack.

    You are mainly staying in National Park lodges, no need to dress up or change. Lodges are basic. There really isn’t much ‘hiking’ on the tour. We took an optional and unofficial hike down into BRYCE Canyon at dawn, very near the hotel. It was very nice but still no need for special hiking clothes, just sensible shoes and appropriate layers for changing temperatures.
